Rub a Dub Dub

I received a new gift from my landlord today--a new washing machine. My old one was leaving black streaks on my clothes. Now, I don't want this to be perceived as complaining, because I'm not, but the machine is...rather....big.

It's sideways in my closet. It's a Whirlpool, and has more features than the last, but...well, it's kinda large. I honestly don't even know how they got it into my apartment and then wedged into that space.

Needless to say, I was a bit surprised. I have to lean in to find which cycle I need. And, one of my tasks tomorrow is going to be getting a dowel rod to prop up the lid a bit so I can put the clothes in...but again, I'm not complaining. I might not be able to dry my entire wardrobe, but now I can wash it...all at once. Can't store my mop and broom in the same closet anymore...but not complaining!

  1. What kind of moron thought that was a good setup? Is it even safe to have that machine so close to the heater-thinkgie? Trying to select a wash cycle looks basically impossible. I'll tell you what- I'd be complaining!

  2. There's space btw. the water heater and machine, which you can't tell from the picture. But, yeah, it's pretty impossible!

Since you have great taste in blogs, I don't think I have to tell you to be nice to each other...and don't spam me. Thanks!
